About AYDF’s Monitoring and Evaluations Department

As a training department in the organization our responsibility is to develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of the trainers. The primary goal is to ensure that our Clients/ participants have the necessary competencies to perform their jobs effectively and contribute to the overall success of their organizations. Here are some key functions and responsibilities of a training department:

Training Needs Analysis

Assessing the skills and knowledge gaps within the organizations to identify areas where training is needed. This involves analysing job roles, performance evaluations, and organizational goals.

Curriculum Development

Designing and creating training materials, for the programs to address identified training needs. This may include both technical and soft skills training. For instance having a web based system that will require training program implementers

Training Delivery

Conducting training sessions through various methods such as classroom training, workshops, online training, or refresher training. The training department may also leverage external trainers or training resources such as getting a person who specializes in puppet training.

Employee Onboarding

Facilitating the orientation and onboarding process for new employees to help them integrate into the organization smoothly and quickly acquire the necessary skills to perform their roles.

Professional Development

Providing opportunities for ongoing learning and development to help employees grow in their careers. This may involve offering advanced training, workshops, seminars, or encouraging participation in conferences and industry events.

Performance Support

Developing resources and tools to support employees in their day-to-day tasks. This could include job aids, manuals, online resources, or access to subject matter experts.

Evaluation and Assessment

Assessing the effectiveness of training programs through various methods, such as feedback surveys, post-training assessments, and monitoring on-the-job performance improvements.

Adapting to Technological Advances

Staying current with technological advancements and incorporating new tools and platforms into the training process, such as e-learning platforms, virtual reality, or other innovative training methods.

Compliance Training

Ensuring that employees are aware of and compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Succession Planning

Identifying and developing employees with the potential to take on leadership roles in the future, contributing to the organization’s long-term success. We do this by equipping coordinator’s with PLORLECO, PLANNING ORGANISING, LEADING AND CONTROLLING/COORDINATING

Training System

systems that are learnt by trainer which include roles such as, logistic coordinator shadow training coordinator, training coordinator, shadow training coordinator, gammas. In summary, the training department plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization, ultimately contributing to increased employee performance, job satisfaction, and overall organizational success.
